We understand that selecting the right facility and level of care can be an overwhelming task. The world of health care is ever changing, and the medical terminology can be confusing. If you don’t know what level of care would best meet your needs, we are available to meet with you personally to help make that decision. We can provide a health screen, meeting with you here at the facility or where you currently live, gathering medical information from you, your family, physician and other health providers to determine your current care needs. The professionals at Connecticut Baptist Homes, Inc. will take the time to listen and to help you understand your options so you can make the choice that is right for you and your family.  Please contact us today calling us at (203) 237-1206 to schedule a meeting with our admission director, or for a tour of our facility.

We offer two distinct levels of care within our long term care program:

Intermediate Care
Individuals who require nursing supervision and assistance with personal care find that the accommodations on our Intermediate Unit meet their needs perfectly. Those residing on the second floor join Residential Living residents in the Dining Room and enjoy a full schedule of activities designed just for them. Each spacious room has a private half bath and is fully furnished, but many residents choose to bring a few pieces of their own to make their new room feel like home.

Skilled Nursing Care
Our Skilled Nursing Unit is reserved for those who truly require 24-hour nursing care. Residents on this unit have their own private dining room, access to a solarium and outdoor terrace. The skilled unit is secure providing protection for those with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. Residents on our skilled unit participate in activities that are offered throughout the facility. Additional, special programs are designed for those who prefer one to one activities.

Our comprehensive services for Intermediate Care and Skilled Nursing include:

TESTIMONIALS: Quotes from families

July 7th
"There are no words to adequately express my gratitude to you, the entire staff, for the care, devotion and understanding given to my mother these past 8 years. All of you, the maintenance, housekeeping, dietary and administrative staffs – cared for her and made her life as easy as possible. And the nursing and therapy staffs – you cared for mom as if she was your own mother. I learned early on the only time I could reach her by telephone was right before meals or at bedtime. She was so busy with activities and outings – they brought so much joy to her life. It was comforting to know that she enjoyed her life with all of you."

"Thank you for your lovely and wonderful Senior Sweetheart Ball. My sister was able to attend with mom and both of them had such a good time. Her description of the night brought tears to my eyes, knowing the joy you brought to so many, including our mom. She’s still talking about it today and told me on the phone tonight that she “felt beautiful” and “even danced again.” Thank you, all of you, for that."

"It’s hard to explain how happy I am here. Everyone is so caring. I’m really feeling more content than I have in years. Thanks to you all."

"Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our grandmother. Although she was very sad to leave her home of over 50 years she regarded you as instrumental in helping her feel welcome and at home here. We know that she thought very highly of you all and considered you to be an extension of her family."

"Words can’t ever express our gratitude toward all of you. You showed such wonderful kindness to our mother and to our entire family. Meriden is fortunate to have such a wonderful facility and we were lucky to experience it ourselves."
